Created in response to small businesses impacted during the COVID-19 crisis and the mandated closures to allow for social distancing. 19 Marketing Grants were awarded to encourage businesses to continue to operate with an online presence and broaden their client base. Recipients that did not have an up-to-date website or strong social media presence were assigned to a designer who created a logo, simple website, Facebook Business page or other marketing materials based on need. The grant covered the cost of design, a domain name, three months of online presence and basic training for business owners to maintain their new site. Each recipient was awarded up to $500 to cover the agreed cost with the design partners. A few of the completed results from 12 out of the 19 grant recipients are listed below.
